Impact analysis of ceramic tile powder aggregates on self-compacting concrete

Abstract Waste ceramic tile (CT) powders are used to improve the workability, mechanical properties, and durability of self-compacting concrete (SCC). The waste CT powder is prepared by mixing construction tiles, sanitary fittings, electrical insulators, with different weight percentages mixed into SCC. Experiments have been conducted evaluate mechanical, optimum compressive, flexural, tensile strengths were predicted be 52.5 MPa, 8.5 7.8 MPa. SCC’s workability characteristics achieved 50% powder, which increases interlocking properties meets EFNARC standards. It concluded that can substituted for conventional fine aggregate in concrete, increasing split 12.5%, 9.33%, 28.76% compared SCC value achieving optimal durability, characteristics. Samples powder-mixed 7, 28, 90 days curing processes microstructure also illustrated.
